Aging and sun damage to the skin is inevitable, but Cutera’s Laser Genesis Skin Therapy will treat these conditions to minimize their damages.
Cutera’s Laser Genesis Skin Therapy is a FDA-approved, non-invasive laser technology that safely, naturally and effectively treats fine line wrinkles, enlarged pores, rough skin texture and scars, such as acne, burn, trauma, hypertrophic, keloid or surgery scars. Additionally, it diffuses redness or facial redness, such as rosy cheeks, and excess brown pigment from hyperpigmentation and melasma. It is a delivery mode for Nd:YAG (1064 nm) lasers with a patented pulse structure designed for safe and effective treatment on all skin types and tanned skin for all body parts excluding the eye and its surrounding area. Laser Genesis also stimulates the natural processes of new cell and collagen productions. Most importantly, it immediately promotes a natural and healthy look as it will restore both men’s and women’s skin’s youthful glow and appearance, which makes it their favorite.
Laser Genesis treats Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI.
All of Cutera’s Laser treatments are completed with applications of: skin-specific serums, replenishing gels, calming balm, hydrators and broad spectrum SPF.
How does it work?
Cutera’s Laser Genesis gently heats the upper dermis just below your skin’s surface, which improves the appearance of fine lines wrinkles, shrinks pore size, evens out rough skin texture, and fades scarring through cell turnover and collagen stimulation. It also closes down the small veins and capillaries that induce continuous redness of the skin when additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
What does the procedure feel like?
Cutera’s Laser Genesis is most often described as comfortable, relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure, but there is minimal to no pain at all. You can expect to return to normal daily activities with the use of sunscreen for any outdoor activities almost immediately.
How many treatments will I need?
Generally, a series of 4 to 6 treatments scheduled within 2-week intervals is enough to address most skin concerns. The individual treatment results are gradual and subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic.
Is there any downtime after the treatments?
There is minimal to no downtime associated with these treatments. The most common reported side-effect is a slight redness or pinkness, which symbolizes a healthy glow that disappears immediately or within 2 or a few hours after the treatment.
